Multiple Sclerosis is a disease that affects the nervous system,which means that a person may lose co-ordination and also the ability to use major muscles in their arms and legs for example.This disease may be acute or debilitating to the extent where the person is wheel-chair bound and cannot perform tasks such as eating and washing. There is support available in the form of Community Nurses and if necessary the need to go into a Care Home.
